Religious Organisations - Listing

How we decide to list religious organisations or individuals.

Religious organisations are defined here as individuals and groups of several or more individuals that provide spiritual and devotional resources to gay people and where there is potential for harm to vulnerable people through unethical practices. Included are those providing spiritual counselling services.

Decisions to accept listing will be informed by the material supplied against the check list below. Gay Line will consider the material supplied and responses to supplementary questions and make a decision based on that material as to acceptance for listing. Gay Line will review the listings periodically against the checklist to decide on continuation or otherwise of listings. Gay Line reserves the right to change the check list at any time.

Gay Line will do its best to ensure that individuals providing religious support and religious organisations listed are safe for gay people but does not take responsibility for inappropriate behaviour of any group or individual. Any group or individual found to have behaved inappropriately to any other will be removed from Gay Line listings.

Listing Check List

Any organisation or individual requesting listing is requested to provide as much information as possible related to each item on the check list. Not all items need to be specifically covered but what is supplied will be checked to ensure general compliance with the checklist with the objective of ensuring safety.
