An Open Letter from a School's Out Member

Dear Potential Queer,

You are amazing! Although people around you will tell you otherwise and may insult you, always remember that no one else can be as good at being you as you can! That makes you both unique and wonderful!

There will be troubling times ahead for you, but there will always be people around to help and support you. A great place to come for support is the School's Out group in Wellington. It's a great place to go and meet supportive people like Hannah and Brendan.

Surround yourself with lots of friends and people who love you.

All the best!

Captain Queer

Our aim is to provide a resource for young queer people, youth workers, counsellors, teachers etc, to hear about the issues young queer people face. We hope, through offering diverse stories and experiences, to aid queer youth, increase awareness and contribute to a more tolerant, accepting and empathetic society.

We aim to produce at least 10 interviews at approximately monthly intervals.

Here are the first interviews. Click on the speaker to listen or the arrow to download.
