I am a registered Clinical Psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists Board and hold memberships in the New Zealand Psychological Society, Institute of Clinical Psychology, Association of Contextual Behavioural Science, New Zealand Pain Society, and the International Association of Applied Psychology. I am Clinical Director of Coastal Personal Empowerment and Psychological Services Ltd, and operate clinics in the Wellington and Kapiti areas, as well as Lower Hutt. I identify as gay and live in a committed civil union partnership.

I provide Clinical Psychology services for the assessment and treatment of depression, anxiety and other mental health diagnoses. I also provide specialist neuropsychology services including cognitive assessments and rehabilitation, management of elderhealth issues, pain management, and provide marital and relationship services to the general population. A particular focus of mine has been sexual health, sexual orientation concerns, managing the coming out experience, couples and relationship therapy, and managing elder issues particularly in the GLBT community. Should you require assistance in any of these issues, I am available for consultation.

I am registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board as a counselling psychologist. I am a member of the New Zealand Psychological Society and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health.

My experience providing psychological services is diverse. It includes treating people for anxiety, depression, and many other mental health concerns. I specialise assisting people with their coming out processes, providing sexual health counselling, and providing assessments for people considering sex reassignment surgery and other desired medical treatments to obtain gender congruence. In addition to working with individuals and couples I have led support groups, therapy groups, and conducted family counselling. I hold a postgraduate degree in counselling supervision from the University of Waikato and can provide supervision to other mental health professionals.

Patricia is a counsellor who specialises in working with youth and queer women. She has experience working with issues such as sexual orientation, coming out, grief, loss, depression, anxiety, family and relationship issues, other mental health issues and career counselling. She has also facilitated support groups and provided telephone counselling.

Patricia identifies as lesbian and holds a Masters degree in Counselling from Massey University. She is in the final year of study for a Certificate in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy.
